Cassidy’s Story
In August 2019, our beloved Cassidy Joy Metropulos passed away at the age of 21 due to fentanyl poisoning, leaving an indelible mark on our hearts. Cassidy’s infectious laughter, compassionate nature, and willingness to lend a helping hand defined her presence in our lives.
Raised in Hayward, WI, Cassidy graduated from Hayward High School with a promising future. As the youngest of three daughters, she cherished moments with friends, enjoyed playing soccer, and shared special times with her family and her cat, Rocky.
Cassidy’s mother, Kim Dale, is the founder of Forever Joy, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing awareness to the fentanyl issue that tragically claimed Cassidy’s life. Kim has been actively engaged in public speaking, addressing students in middle and high schools, as well as participating in community events. Through sharing Cassidy’s story, Kim aims to raise awareness about the dangers of fentanyl in our community and beyond.
Additionally, Kim bravely shares her personal journey, highlighting Cassidy’s short struggle with drug addiction. By opening up about this experience, Kim hopes to break the stigma associated with drug addiction and foster understanding in our communities.
We want to express our deep appreciation for the overwhelming support from our community. From generous donations to the impactful act of posting yard signs, every gesture has been a testament to the collective strength and compassion that binds us together. Your support is instrumental in furthering our mission to bring awareness to the fentanyl issue and honor Cassidy’s memory.
